Angelo Sibal

Senior Associate Scientist, Analytical Development at Allogene Therapeutics

Angelo Sibal is a Senior Associate Scientist in analytical development at Allogene Therapeutics since November 2020, focusing on IL-2 impurity and IFNg cytokine secretion assays. Prior to this role, Sibal was a Research Associate at HepaTx Corporation, contributing to the optimization of experiments characterizing induced hepatocyte-like cells. Sibal's early research experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Merced under Dr. Wei-Chun Chin, where work involved biosensors and microfluidic devices, and research on microbial exopolymers at the Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative. Additional roles include an internship at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and teaching positions promoting STEM education. Sibal holds a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Merced.
