Marjan Shamsaei Pharm.d.

Marjan Shamsaei, Pharm.D. has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Marjan is currently the VP, Head of Commercial at Allogene Therapeutics. Prior to that, they served as the VP, Global Product Strategy & Commercial Development at Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. (acquired by Amgen) in 2021. From 2005 to 2020, Marjan held various roles at Genentech, including Head of National Field for TECENTRIQ, AVASTIN, ALECENSA, and ROZLYTREK, Head of Marketing for Lung Cancer Portfolio-Avastin and Alecensa, Marketing Director for Xeloda, Sales Management for Xolair, Head of Marketing for Avastin Lung Cancer Strategy and Promotions, and Associate Director of Commercial Development for Oncology Pipeline. Marjan was also the Head of Global Commercial Strategy for Neurosciences at Jazz Pharmaceuticals from 2003 to 2005 and Senior Global Product Manager for Oncology Pipeline at Sugen (acquired by Pfizer) from 2000 to 2003. Marjan started their career as a Strategic Management Consultant in the biopharmaceutical sector at Frontline Strategic Management from 1999 to 2000.

Marjan Shamsaei, Pharm.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs between 1987 and 1991. Marjan then pursued further education and earned a Pharm.D. degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco, from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic qualifications, Marjan Shamsaei has obtained a certification in Executive Leadership from LinkedIn in February 2021.
