Qing Sheng

Senior Director, Head of Translation Biology at Allorion Therapeutics

Qing Sheng has extensive work experience in the field of biomedicine and drug discovery. Qing currently holds the position of Senior Director, Head of Translation Biology at Allorion Therapeutics since January 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Director, Head of Early Drug Discovery at the same company from September 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining Allorion Therapeutics, Qing Sheng worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) for a decade, starting from August 2010. Qing held the role of Principal Scientist II, Oncology Translational Research from an unspecified date to 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Scientist I, Oncology Translational Research from August 2010 to an unspecified date in 2014.

Earlier in their career, Qing Sheng worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for ten years from 2000 to 2010. Qing was mentored by Dr. David Livingston during their time there.

Qing Sheng completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry from Tufts University during the period from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, Qing Sheng earned a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rutgers University between 1991 and 1993. Qing Sheng's educational journey began at Nanjing University in 1988, where they pursued a field of study in Biochemistry, although the specific degree obtained from Nanjing University is unknown.
