Tan Songchao Gary

Tan Songchao Gary, CFA, serves as the Portfolio Manager and CEO of Allspring Global Investments (Singapore) Pte. Ltd since July 2022, focusing on the Intrinsic Emerging Markets Equity Team. Prior to this role, Tan held the position of Executive Director and Equity Portfolio Manager at Natixis Investment Managers from January 2018 to July 2022, leading portfolio management for the Natixis Asia Fund and the Natixis Pacific Rim Fund, while also coordinating ESG efforts for Greater China. Tan's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Investment Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority from September 2012 to September 2017, overseeing equity investments, as well as a Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management from May 2004 to January 2012, where responsibilities included global emerging market equity research. Tan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, obtained from 2001 to 2004.
