Brandon Carlson has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and solar industry. Brandon is currently employed as a Principal Application Engineer at Allume Energy, where they assist the global R&D team in US product development and works on improving installation methods. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Application Engineer at Allume Energy, where they successfully rolled out the SolShare 2P product in the US market and provided support and inspection for installation design.

Before joining Allume Energy, Brandon worked as an Energy Storage and Solar Industry Consultant, where they reviewed industry products, provided recommendations for code adoption and policy changes, and represented manufacturers during code development.

Brandon also gained extensive experience at New Day Solar, where they held multiple positions. As the Company Officer, Codes and Standards, Department Head - Permitting, they managed and provided quality control for numerous photovoltaic, energy storage, and electrical projects. Brandon also organized the construction process and developed templates and policies to ensure compliance with design, codes, and standards. As a System Design and Permitting employee at New Day Solar, Brandon reviewed projects for buildability and designed plans for photovoltaic and electrical projects.

Prior to their consultancy and New Day Solar experiences, Brandon served as the Vice Chair of the Burbank Sustainability Commission.

Before starting their professional career, Brandon worked at Carlson Solar, specializing in paperwork and installations of solar electric systems.

Brandon Carlson's education history includes obtaining a California Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University, Long Beach, from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from California State University-San Bernardino, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Brandon also holds an Associates degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from Mt. San Jacinto College. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications such as a Commercial Electrical Inspector - E2 and Residential Electrical Inspector - E1 from the International Code Council in 2021, as well as a C-10 Electrical Contractor certification from CSLB in February 2016.
