Yupeng Fu

Yupeng Fu is a Principal Engineer at Uber since July 2018, leading pivotal infrastructure platforms such as the Real-time Data Platform and Search Platform, essential for various services including UberEats and UberRides. Fu also serves as an OpenSearch Maintainer and holds multiple roles within The Apache Software Foundation, including Apache Pinot PMC and Committer. As a founding member of Alluxio, Inc., Fu contributes to innovative distributed storage solutions. Previous experience includes software engineering leadership at Palantir Technologies, research roles at UC San Diego and Tsinghua University, and internships at prominent organizations such as Google, Microsoft Research, and Nokia Research Center. Fu obtained a PhD in Computer Science from UC San Diego and advanced degrees from Tsinghua University.
