Irena Shafir

Irena Shafir has a comprehensive work experience in the field of physics. Irena held the position of Director of Physics at Alma Lasers since May 2022 and was previously a Physics Group Manager at the same company from March 2019 to May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Physicist at Elbit Systems Ltd from January 2017 to March 2019. Irena also served as a Senior Physicist at P&P Tech from September 2016 to January 2017. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from September 2015 to June 2016. Irena was employed as an R&D Physicist at CByond, Olympus from September 2013 to September 2015 and as an R&D physicist at Lumenis from November 2011 to September 2013. Irena's earlier experiences include working as a Lab instructor at Tel Aviv University from October 2007 to September 2011 and as an Electronic Lab Instructor at the same university from October 2005 to September 2007.

Irena Shafir earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University in the years 2001 to 2004. Irena then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physics from the same institution from 2004 to 2007, specializing in the study of "Optical and Luminescence Properties of Neodymium Doped Silver Halides Crystal." Subsequently, Irena Shafir completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from Tel Aviv University from 2007 to 2011. Their doctoral research focused on "Doped silver halide crystals for laser applications."
