Markus Koch

Markus Koch has a strong background in pharmaceutical research, having held various leadership roles at Bayer, including Head Disease Biology, VP at Almirall since 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head Metabolic Diseases Research VP and Head Immuno-Oncology Research, VP at Bayer. Markus also worked as a Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology. Throughout their career, Markus has demonstrated expertise in pharmacology and oncology research.

Markus Koch completed their Diplom in Biochemie at Freie Universität Berlin from 1992 to 1999. Markus then pursued their studies in Virology at Harvard Medical School from 1997 to 1999. Lastly, Markus earned a Phd in Immunology from Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology from 1999 to 2003.
