Adam Swartzbaugh

Adam Swartzbaugh has held a variety of positions since 2005. Adam began their career as a Disaster Relief Project Manager for the Tsunami Relief Center. In 2008, they co-founded Kid Launch and The GENESIS Network, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to improving the futures of children around the world. From 2009 to 2013, they served as an Infantry Officer for the US Army, and then as a Special Forces Officer (Green Beret) for Army Special Forces (Airborne). In 2019, they earned a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management. In 2020, they founded Almond Fintech, and in 2021, they became a Legatum Fellow at the Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT.

Adam Swartzbaugh's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations/Political Economy of Development from Brown University, which they obtained in 2008-2009. Adam then went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Development Studies/Social Political and Economic Development at Brown University, which they completed in 2019. Adam also completed a Credential of Readiness (CORe) from Harvard Business School in 2019, a Master of Business Administration - MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019-2021, and a Master of Public Administration - MPA from Harvard Kennedy School in 2020-2022. Additionally, they completed a Resident Business Certificate Program from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2019, and an Ignite Resident Entrepreneurship Program from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2019. Adam also holds certifications from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), SSI Scuba Schools International, Federal Aviation Administration, and U.S. Parachute Association (USPA).
