Michael Luciano

Michael Luciano is a Senior Scientist at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, responsible for leading oncology research. Before joining Alnylam, Michael worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, where Michael developed a novel fluorophore-linker combination for cancer imaging applications. At the University of Connecticut, Michael conducted research on photoacoustic imaging contrast agents and metal-ion chemosensors while also serving as a Teaching Assistant and General Chemistry Demonstrator. As a Process Chemistry Intern at ArQule, Michael synthesized a competitor drug for comparison studies. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Chemistry from Merrimack College.
