Jose M Cacicedo

Jose M Cacicedo, PhD, currently serves as the Manager of Research and Development at ALPCO, having held various roles within the organization since October 2017, including Senior Lead Scientist and Lead Scientist. Prior to this, Cacicedo was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Section of Endocrinology at Boston University School of Medicine from July 2010 to June 2017, where research focused on energy sensing enzymes as potential targets for treating cardiovascular and metabolic complications related to diabetes and obesity. In earlier career stages, Cacicedo worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston Medical Center and gained extensive academic qualifications, earning a PhD in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and a dual degree in Biotechnology from Boston University.
