George Tsalmas

George Tsalmas has over 17 years of work experience in the IT and banking sector. George started their career as an IT Systems Analyst at Emporiki Bank in 2002 and worked there until 2013. During this time, they gained experience in database management systems. In 2007, George also worked as an Instructor in Database Management Systems at Professional Training Institute. In 2013, they joined Alpha Bank as an IT Systems Analyst and later became a Senior DBA from 2014 to 2019. Currently, they hold the role of Database Operations, Team Lead at Alpha Bank since January 2020. George's expertise lies in database management and systems analysis.

George Tsalmas holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Engineering Economics from the National Technical University of Athens, which they obtained between 2004 and 2006. George also has a Master of Science (MSc) in Data Communication Systems from Brunel University London, which they obtained in 2000. In 1994, they attended the University of Ioannina, where they pursued a degree in the Department of Physics. Additionally, George Tsalmas has obtained various certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Professional Program in Data Science Certificate, ITIL® 2011 Foundation, and Certified Economist certifications.
