Steve Desrosiers

A highly experienced software engineer with over 35 years of relevant experience. He is responsible for the development of all software from field data capture applications, integration with third-party applications, and analytics to reporting. He has over 10 years of experience analyzing facility asset assessment data, including data from third-party applications such as BUILDER. He can build Facility Asset Management plans to convert the data captured in an assessment into a realizable plan for maintaining those assets. He designs builds and delivers web-based and classroom training for ALPHA-developed software and third-party software such as BUILDER. He is an active participant in joint research with Texas A&M University.

Before joining ALPHA, Stephen worked at USAA in the IT and the Training departments, pioneering web-based training and as a project manager for the public website. He worked in the space industry developing the ground software for the Iridium satellite network and as an analyst validating the Commercial Titan guidance and navigation software. He worked in NASA’s Mission Control Center as a certified onboard navigation flight controller for the Space Shuttle. He developed programs to analyze the Space Shuttle’s navigation performance and analyzed the results. He also developed intelligent tutoring systems and other expert systems in support of NASA’s Automation and Robotics division.

Stephen is a certified project manager. He has an M.S. in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
