Melissa Stanley

Melissa Stanley is an experienced payroll tax professional with over 25 years in the field. Currently serving as Payroll Tax Manager at Alpha Metallurgical Resources since November 2018, responsibilities include payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliation, along with collaboration with accounting and audit teams. Previously, at Alpha Natural Resources from June 2011 to November 2018, Melissa held the titles of Director of Payroll and Payroll Tax and Audit Manager, overseeing payroll processes for 2,700 employees across six states and supervising a team of payroll specialists. Earlier experience includes roles at Massey Energy and Mingo County Solid Waste Authority, where payroll processing and office operations were key duties. Melissa holds a diploma in Business Administration and Management from Burch High School and has pursued computer-related studies at Mingo County Vo-Tech.
