Brian Blaser

Brian Blaser, M.Eng., GISP, is an accomplished GIS professional with extensive experience in both development and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Lead GIS Developer at Alpha Omega since April 2025, Blaser mentors junior developers while supporting the USDA Management Agency's GIS initiatives. As the Founder, President, and CEO of Blaser & Company, LLP since 2005, Blaser transitioned the firm from geospatial consulting to backcountry skiing guiding and outfitting under the "Trail Blaser Guides" brand. Previous roles include Principal GIS Application Developer at Guidehouse, Program Team Lead at SAIC, and various positions at the State of Colorado's Air Quality Control Division, demonstrating a strong track record in GIS software development and team management. Blaser holds advanced degrees in Civil Engineering and Physical Geography, alongside numerous technical certificates in GIS and programming.
