James Mancino has an extensive work history in GIS development and software solutions. James started their career as a GIS Programmer at the United States Geological Survey in 1992 and later worked as a GIS Programmer at the Quaternary Research Center in 1993. James then became a GIS Project Manager / Analyst at Pacer Infotec, Inc. in 1997, where they supervised transportation data analysis projects. In 1998, they transitioned to Rand McNally as a GIS Software Engineer, specializing in digital products for commercial transportation routing. James later worked as a Software Developer / Business Analyst at Gas Technology Institute starting in 2018, focusing on GIS, risk analysis, and mobile data collection. Currently, James is the Lead GIS Developer at ECCO Select, leading the USDA Risk Management Agency's GIS development efforts.
James Mancino completed their Bachelor of Arts in Geology, with a minor in Geography, from Augustana College in 1992. James then went on to earn a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Washington in 1995. In 1991, they also attended the Geology Field Camp at Boston University.
