Jonathan Ambriz

Jonathan Ambriz has a diverse work experience in cybersecurity and technology leadership roles. Jonathan is currently working as the Sr. Director of Cybersecurity at Alpha Omega Integration, LLC. Prior to this, they served as a Cyber Security Data Scientist at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where they led project teams and conducted risk assessments to enhance cybersecurity operations. Jonathan also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at USCHAG, where they developed and executed technology strategies and managed a budget of $4M. Before that, they served as a National Ambassador at WGU Texas and founded their own business, 7th Day Cleaning, providing cleaning and janitorial services. Jonathan has also served in the Air National Guard as a Cyber Surety and worked as a Security Professional at HPE Security - Data Security, leading security projects for federal agencies.

Jonathan Ambriz has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Digital Entrepreneurship from the Jack Welch Management Institute. Jonathan also attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they studied Chinese and Computer Science. Jonathan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration and Management, General, both from Western Governors University. Additionally, Jonathan has pursued further certifications, including Certified CISO from Secure Anchor Consulting in 2023, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2022, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from ASIS International in 2022, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2020, CCNA from Cisco in 2017, and CCNA Security, also from Cisco. Jonathan has also engaged in data science studies through Springboard.
