Senior Director Of Sic Products at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor

Kiran Chatty has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry, with a focus on SiC (Silicon Carbide) products. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of SiC Products at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, a role they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, Kiran worked as the Director of SiC Products at the same company from March 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, Kiran took a sabbatical in 2020 to work on SiC technology and product development. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Director of SiC Product Development at Littelfuse.

Kiran's career in the semiconductor industry began in 2012 when they co-founded and served as the VP of Product Development at Monolith Semiconductor Inc. Kiran held this role until January 2019.

Prior to that, Kiran worked as a Principal Engineer at SemiSouth Laboratories from 2011 to 2012 and as a Senior Device Engineer at SemiSouth Laboratories, Inc. from 2010 to 2011.

Kiran's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Engineer at IBM from 2001 to 2010 and as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1996 to 2001. Kiran also had an internship at Philips Research in 1999.

Throughout their career, Kiran has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in SiC technology and product development.

Kiran Chatty's education history begins in 1991 when they attended the Central Electrochemical Research Institute, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) degree in Electrochemical Engineering. They then pursued further education in 1995 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S) degree in Materials Science. From 1996 to 2001, Kiran Chatty attended the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
