Amruthanath Ganapathy has a diverse and extensive background in the maritime industry. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Master Mariner for Anglo Eastern Ship Management for ten years. Amruthanath then transitioned to shore-based roles, joining EXL Service as an Assistant Manager and later Manager in Vessel Operations. During this time, they gained experience in commercial post fixture operations, with a focus on the dry bulk sector.
In 2012, Ganapathy became the Vice President of Operations at Panacore Group, overseeing post fixture dry bulk operations and procurement. Amruthanath then moved to MINA SHIPPING DMCC as a Chartering Executive before joining The Caravel Group Limited as the Vice President of Shipping. In this role, they focused on initiating business in India and managing freight prices and contracts in Supramax and Panamax segments.
From 2018 to 2022, Ganapathy worked at Cargill Business Services India Private Limited, starting as a Senior Vessel Operator and later becoming a Fleet Vessel Operator. Their responsibilities included supplier account management, operational issue resolution, and people development.
Currently, Ganapathy is the Head of Operations for Commercial and Cargo Applications at Alpha Ori Technologies, a technology company providing digital solutions to the marine industry.
