James Darby

James is part of the Frontend Engineering team at AlphaFlow. He strives to build user interfaces that meet key requirements and delight users across devices. After successful careers in the food and media industries as a chef and business development manager, James decided to go all in on software. In 2019 he went full-time on his own freelance software development business and taught himself to code along the way.

Learning by freelancing, James has been exposed to a wide range of front-end and back-end technologies and frameworks, and worked with start-ups to ideate, build and ship websites, e-commerce stores, and web/mobile apps. He joined Alphaflow to help build world-class software as part of a friendly and driven team. When not working, James loves to cook, travel, make music and read.
