Joshua Mitra

Joshua Mitra has work experience in various roles and companies. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Alberta. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Junior Data Scientist at Granify. In 2017, they worked as a Yield Analyst at Finning (Canada). Currently, they are a Senior Quantitative Researcher at AlphaLayer, where they started in January 2020.

Joshua Mitra has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Alberta, which they obtained from 2012 to 2017. Joshua went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Mathematical Finance from the same university, completing it from 2017 to 2019. Currently, from 2019 to 2023, they are attending the University of Alberta to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistical Machine Learning.
