Kathryn Kaminski, PhD, CAIA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Kathryn currently serves as the Chief Research Strategist and Portfolio Manager at AlphaSimplex Group, a position they have held since April 2018. Prior to this, they were a Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management starting from July 2008. Kathryn also held the role of Director of Investment Strategies at Campbell and Company from January 2015 to April 2017. Kathryn has held several positions at the Royal Institute of Technology, including Board Member at the Center for Excellence for Science and Innovation Studies and Visiting Professor in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2013. Kathryn was a Deputy Managing Director at SIFR - Institute for Financial Research in 2014. Additionally, they have worked as a Featured Writer for Eurex Institutional Insights Newsletter from April 2013 to December 2014. In 2012, they advised FLYBERRY CAPITAL LLC as an Advisor and was the CIO and Founder of Alpha K Capital from March 2012 to December 2012. Kathryn has also contributed as a Market Commentator for CME Group, providing outside research and commentary from March 2011 to December 2014. Lastly, they served as an Affiliated Faculty at Stockholm School of Economics from August 2007 to December 2014.

Kathryn Kaminski, PhD, CAIA began their education in 1997 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Kathryn went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Operations Research from the same institution in 2007. During this time, they also attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they obtained another Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Operations Research. In 2000, they briefly attended École Polytechnique, focusing on the field of Electronics.
