Andrea Cantarutti

Andrea Cantarutti has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andrea currently serves as the EMEA Business Development at AlphaSTAR, where they focus on launching new technologies and tools in the additive manufacturing and composite sectors. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of CAE BU at IDS Ingegneria Dei Sistemi, overseeing their computer-aided engineering division for almost six years. Andrea also worked as the VP Business Development and Board Member at GlobalAdvantech, where they focused on extending PLM usage and benefits in the aerospace sector. Andrea has been actively involved in the aviation industry, serving as the Vice President of AOPA Italy, where they worked on various initiatives relating to general aviation and pilot value development. Andrea also held roles such as President at Club Aereo Far East/Parco del Volo and Virtual Manufacturing Group of Interest Coordinator at AITeM. Earlier in their career, they were the General Manager and Board Member at Advantech LIKE, Director Aerospace Industry at MSC.Software, and Teacher/Consultant at ISIS "A.Malignani" - IFTS and ITS Mechanics/Aeronautics FVG. Throughout their career, Andrea has demonstrated expertise in business development, engineering process innovation, and knowledge management.

Andrea Cantarutti pursued their education starting in 1980 at ITI "A. Malignani" in Udine. Andrea completed their degree in Aeronautics in 1985, achieving a perfect score of 60/60. In 1985, they enrolled at the Università degli Studi di Udine, where they studied Management Engineering until 1988. Additionally, in 1986 and 1987, Andrea attended the Italian Air Force Officers school, specializing in Air Force Officer training.
