Joe DeLuca is a 24 year veteran of the investment industry with deep expertise in business development, market strategy, risk management and quantitative investing. He currently works at Prospect Investment Group, a company which he founded to provide advisory services to asset managers and financial institutions. Prior to that he was co-founder and chief strategist at Kepos Capital, a multi-billion dollar quantitative asset manager. The bulk of his career was spent at two firms: Highbridge Capital Management/JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. At Highbridge, he was a managing director responsible for business development and product development which included conceiving, launching and locating seed capital for new hedge funds and alternative mutual funds. At Goldman Sachs he worked in its risk department as well as its quantitative asset management department which managed the Global Alpha Fund.
Joe graduated with a B.S. from Cornell University and served on the Hedge Fund committee for Cornell’s endowment. He is a published author, and helped to write and edit the book, The Practice of Risk Management. Joe is an active comedy writer and comedian.
