Ramesh Kumar

Ramesh Kumar has extensive work experience in finance and strategy roles. Ramesh is currently the Head of Finance for Starbucks MENA at Alshaya Group since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Group Finance Head at Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co. from June 2019 to September 2020. Ramesh also worked at Alghanim Industries for several years, holding various roles such as Senior Manager in Corporate Strategy, BD, and M&A, Senior Manager in Corporate Treasury, Senior Finance Manager in the Engineering & Supply Chain Group, and Finance Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis, BD, and M&A. Before that, they started their career as a Software Engineer at Geometric Ltd. from October 2003 to May 2005.

Ramesh Kumar attended Sainik School Tilaiya from 1990 to 1997, where they pursued a High School degree with a focus on Science. Ramesh then went on to study at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1999 to 2003, obtaining a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, Ramesh attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from 2005 to 2007, achieving an MBA degree with a specialization in Strategy & Finance. Finally, they completed the CFA program at the CFA Institute in 2016.
