Müslüm Yakisan

President, DACH Region at Alstom

Prior to joining Alstom, Müslüm had a long and successful career in a variety of roles at Siemens. From 2016 to 2020, he was Global Head of Portfolio Unit Commuter, Regional Trains and Passenger Coaches for Siemens AG, based in Erlangen, Germany. Before that, from 2011 to 2016, he was Division Head for the Mobility Division in the Lead Country Bundle Greater China for Siemens Ltd., China. Between 2009 and 2011, he was CEO of Transport Solutions for Siemens AG Berlin.

Between 2008 and 2009, Müslüm spent a year outside Siemens, as CEO of Turkish car-shell manufacturing company Bozankaya.

From 2005 to 2008, he was Vice President with Siemens AG, in Munich, responsible for the day-to-day management of the subdivision Inter Urban Systems. From 2004 to 2005 he was Sales Director, responsible for the sales and marketing of rail transportation turnkey systems for North America, Middle East and Turkey at Siemens AG, Berlin.

Between 2000 and 2004, Müslüm spent four years as Project Director of the Siemens USA turnkey project, Houston Light Rail System in Houston, Texas. From 1996 to 2000, he was Project Director for Siemens portion of project management, scheduling, acquisition, contract negotiations, engineering, interface control and manage ment and general project execution on the Bursa Light Rail System in Turkey. Before that, he spent two years as Sales Manager for Siemens’ Metro Istanbul project.

Müslüm Yakisan began his career in 1985, working with Siemens AG as an intern and was selected for the Siemens AG internal management trainee program.

Müslüm holds a Master’s degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Electrical Engineering from the Fachhochschule of Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel in Germany.
