Tahir Akgun

Tahir Akgun is a seasoned professional in the field of test engineering and commissioning, currently serving as the Test Engineering Group Lead and Field System Integration Lead at Alstom since February 2021, focusing on the PHX Sky Train Stage 2 extension. Previously, Akgun held the position of Lead Test & Commissioning Engineer at Bombardier Transportation, overseeing testing and commissioning activities for the same project, and contributed as a Test & Commissioning Engineer for notable projects including the Metro-North Railroad Positive Train Control Project and the Istanbul Metro M5 line installation. Akgun obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 2016, demonstrating a solid educational foundation that supports a robust career in transportation systems integration and testing.
