Gustavo Busnardo

Gustavo Busnardo is currently the CTO and Technology Director at alt.bank. Prior to this, they were with Agrotopus from March 2017 to September 2020 where they were a Co-Founder, Technology Director, and CTO.

At Agrotopus, Gustavo was responsible for undertaking technological disruption for agribusiness. Gustavo and their team created solutions for traceability of the agricultural chain through a partnership with a global certification company - from seed to the end customer, bringing sustainability (economic, and environmental), food security, logistical efficiency, and increased product value.

Gustavo managed the Company as a bootstrapper for two years, until M&A with Valid S.A. (VLID3), a Brazilian multinational company, bringing synergy with IoT and means of payment. Gustavo led the product teams and implemented the main solutions: web and mobile apps to track agricultural practices based on IoT. Another product was a fully automated WMS using RFID, QRcode, mobile and Analytics. The final product was ecommerce platform for farmers' groups, enabling direct worldwide, with full traceability using Blockchain.

The products Gustavo implemented were used by the world’s largest agro-industrial coffee cooperatives (9% of BR share) and soybean/cotton seed companies (7% of BR share).

Gustavo Busnardo has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Fundação Dom Cabral and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Gustavo also has a Bacharel em Ciência da Computação from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná. Gustavo is certified from ISACA in COBIT Foundation Exam v4.1 and certified from EXIN in ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management v3.
