Tianyi Xia

Tianyi Xia has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2014, Xia worked as a Research Assistant at New York University and later joined Hermes Capital Advisors, LLC as a Quantitative Trader. During the same year, Xia also worked at EY as a Service Associate in Quantitative Advisory Services. In 2016, Xia interned as a Data Scientist with Uber's Strategic Finance team. Xia then joined Uber as a Data Scientist in 2017, where they co-developed, modeled, and validated user-level trips for forecasting tools and collaborated with the Uber AI Lab and Uber ATG team on various projects. In 2017, Xia briefly worked as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel LLC. From 2018 to 2020, Xia served as an Engineering Manager at Opendoor. In 2020, Xia joined Alt Platform Inc. in a data-related role.

Tianyi Xia has a strong educational background in the field of Finance and Mathematics. They hold a Master of Financial Engineering degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics from New York University. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Tianyi Xia has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. They are a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from GAAP, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, and have also passed Level III of the CFA Examination conducted by the same institution. Tianyi Xia has also completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera and the Probabilistic Graphical Models course from Stanford University. They have further expanded their skill set with the Functional Programming in Scala Specialization course from Coursera.
