Kate Fischer

Kate Fischer has an extensive work experience in the legal field. Kate started their career as a Corporate Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in 2007 and worked there until 2009. Kate then joined Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP as an Associate from 2009 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, Kate worked at Repsol S.A. (formerly Talisman Energy Inc.) in various legal counsel roles, including Corporate Legal Counsel and International Legal Counsel. In 2017, they joined AltaGas Ltd. as a Legal Counsel and progressed to the role of Senior Corporate Counsel in 2018. Kate then became the Associate General Counsel from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Kate is serving as the Director of Ethics, Compliance & Governance at AltaGas Ltd., where they lead the global corporate compliance and governance function for the company.

Kate Fischer received their J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2007. Prior to that, they earned an Honours B.A. in Economics and 'Ethics, Society & Law' from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College in 2004. Additionally, they are a member of the Alberta Bar and the New York Bar.
