David Jones

David Jones is an experienced technology leader currently serving as VP of EDA Simulation at Altair, where responsibilities include managing the Metrics simulator team post-acquisition. Prior to this role, David was the CTO at Metrics Design Automation, overseeing the development of the Metrics Cloud Simulator. David's career includes significant consulting experience at XtremeEDA, Intrinsix, and Zaiq Technologies, providing digital hardware design and verification services. Earlier, David co-founded DVLogix and held a position as a Semiconductor Design Engineer at MOSAID. David earned a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa. Additionally, David contributed to community network initiatives as a volunteer with National Capital Free-Net and served as Co-Chair of the Hw/SW Committee for Toronto Free-Net while studying.
