Ben Schmidt

Ben Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ben started their professional journey at BYU in 2011, working in Alumni Services for almost a year. In 2013, they worked as a Sales Associate at the Polynesian Cultural Center for a few months. In 2014, they joined Elkins Consulting Group as an Implementation Specialist for a year. From 2015 to 2021, Ben worked at Allscripts as a Consultant, specializing in training, coaching, and assessing workflow in medical electronic health record systems. Most recently, they joined AltaMed Health Services in 2018, where they initially worked as a Health Information Technical Training Specialist II until 2021. After that, they transitioned to the role of an Instructional Designer, responsible for training application documentation and workflow development for Altamed's core clinical system environments. In 2021, Ben was promoted to Senior Instructional Designer before becoming the Manager of Learning and Training in February 2022.

Ben Schmidt has a Bachelor's degree in Communication, General and International Cultural Studies. Ben obtained this degree from Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. In addition, Ben has obtained a certification in E-Learning Instructional Design and Development from Oregon State University in February 2019.
