Dordaneh Ashouriha

Dordaneh Ashouriha has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and positions. The most recent position was as a Community Organizing & Research Engagement Coordinator II at AltaMed Health Services starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Student Cohort Representative, and Teaching Assistant at California State University, Fullerton from September 2021 to May 2023. In 2020, they were a Chapter Leader at the UCI Alumni Association, where they focused on alumni engagement and professional development. From January 2022 to May 2023, they served as a Graduate Student Intern at the County of Orange. Additionally, they held roles at the Iranian Student Union at UC Irvine, where they served as a Graduate Advisor, President, Social Chair, and Culture Chair from 2015 to 2021. Other experiences include internships at UCI Arboretum, Herbarium, the UCNRS San Joaquin Marsh Reserve, and a mentorship position at UCI Humanities Language Learning Program. Dordaneh also worked as an Office Staff member at Linda Alimadadian DO from July 2017 to June 2018. Dordaneh Ashouriha has conducted research as a Research Assistant at the UC Irvine School of Social Sciences from January 2016 to June 2018. Lastly, they worked as a Laboratory Staff member at GeneX Laboratory Professional Corporation from January 2017 to April 2017, and earlier in their career, they were a Sales and Marketing Associate at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. from June 2012 to August 2013.

Dordaneh Ashouriha completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from California State University, Fullerton from 2021 to 2023. Prior to their master's degree, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Public Health Sciences with a Minor in Persian Studies from UC Irvine, graduating in 2018. Before that, they attended Irvine Valley College from an unspecified start year to 2015, where they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Chemistry, Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Dordaneh Ashouriha completed their high school education at Woodbridge High School from 2009 to 2012, acquiring a General Education diploma.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dordaneh Ashouriha also obtained several certifications. These include Introduction to Legal Epidemiology from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which they attained in June 2023. Dordaneh acquired a certification in Spatial Data Science: The New Frontier in Analytics from Esri in November 2022. In August 2022, they completed a certification in Infectious Disease Transmission Models for Decision-Makers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Additionally, they received certifications in Program Evaluation 101, Eight Steps for Developing a Program Budget, Evidence-Based Public Health Overview, and Global Tobacco Control from various institutions in 2022. In 2021, they obtained certifications in Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers from the CITI Program and Online Healthcare Provider CPR Course from OnlineCPRCertification.net. Furthermore, in 2021, Dordaneh Ashouriha completed a certification in COVID-19 Contact Tracing from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Lastly, they obtained a Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association in 2017 and a Lab Animal Research certification from the CITI Program in 2015.
