Yves Nguimbous is an Associate Machine Learning Developer at AltaML. Yves has previously worked as a Research Assistant at SUP'COM and as a Research and Development Engineer at Pama Technologies GmbH.
Yves has experience developing Machine Learning models to detect intrusion in IP networks using Theano and PyTorch. Yves has also worked on detecting new patterns in video streams by fine tuning YOLO version 3. Yves has published and presented 2 papers about improving the accuracy of state of art intrusion detection systems using deep learning algorithms. Additionally, they have developed a RESTful service with JAX-RS and Sprint Boot to map configuration files, between Cisco and Huawei firewalls.
At Pama Technologies GmbH, Yves was responsible for optimizing the infrastructure by automating the gathering and the processing of customers’ images, improving the capacity from 100 images processed/day to 60,000 images processed/day. Yves also created stories and tasks for sprints on JIRA, and designed and developed software (with Python) for the parallel processing of images and texts, improving processing capacity and reliability. Furthermore, Yves designed and developed a software for tasks management, with Java EE, which supported the validation and curation of 60,000 images/day. Additionally, they fine-tuned and performed transfer learning, for the detection of new patterns on images using ImageNet datasets & models with TensorFlow and Caffe.
Yves has also installed and configured a cluster of 6 nodes with Windows Server 2012 R2, monitored 9 servers using Kibana, troubleshooting errors and bug fixing. Yves has also configured Access List and firewall rules on MIKROTIK router, improving the use of company network bandwidth. Furthermore, they have configured Firewall rules with iptables on Ubuntu 16.04.7 LTS servers to restrict access to Tomcat, MongoDb Database services. Finally, they supervised a team of 10 QA analysts.
Yves Nguimbous has a Master of Data Science and Analytics, with a Specialization in Health Data Science and Biostatistics from the University of Calgary. Yves also has a Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification from the University of Calgary. Yves has a Master's degree in Information Systems and Networks Engineering from the National Advanced School of Post and Telecommunications. Yves also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Advanced School of Post and Telecommunications. Yves also has certifications from Cognitive Class in Deep Learning 1001 and from Coursera in Machine Learning certificate.
