Luís Castro

Luís Castro has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Luís started their career as a Consultant at The Phone House in 2001. Luís then worked as a Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where they participated in the OSS through Java Initiative and developed software components for Network Management Systems. In 2004, Luís joined Altice Labs as a Software Developer, specializing in JEE development, Oracle databases, data warehousing, and BI technologies. Luís later became a Project Manager and Solutions Architect, leading implementations of Network and Service Performance Management solutions. From 2012 to 2018, Luís served as a Product Manager, responsible for the product strategy and roadmap, as well as ensuring alignment with current technologies and business needs. In 2019, they became the Head of the OSS Assurance division at Altice Labs, overseeing operations in this area. Overall, Luís has gained expertise in various aspects of network data collection, performance management, quality of service, customer experience management, and telecom OSS/BSS processes.

Luís Castro completed their education at multiple institutions. From 1994 to 1997, they attended Escola Secundária Dr. Serafim Leite, where the specific degree and field of study are unknown. Luís then pursued their degree in Electronics and Telecomunications at Universidade de Aveiro from 1997 to 2003, earning a bachelor's degree. Later, from 2008 to 2009, they returned to Universidade de Aveiro to further their studies in the same field, completing a Master's degree.
