Cecilia Dowd

Cecilia Dowd is a seasoned journalist currently serving as a News Reporter at Altice USA since July 2023. With extensive experience in the media industry, Cecilia holds the position of Vice President at the Press Club of Long Island since February 2020 and has been a self-employed Producer-Reporter of an independent documentary focused on children in Santo, Haiti, since 2013. Prior roles include reporting positions at Newsday Media Group from December 2019 to July 2023 and Verizon Fios 1 News from February 2015 to December 2019, as well as serving as an Assignment Editor at News 12 Long Island from July 2005 to February 2015. Cecilia began the career journey with an internship at WBFF Fox in early 2005. Cecilia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a specialization in Journalism from Loyola University Maryland, complemented by studies in France at Université Paul Valéry - Montpellier III.
