Dana van Aken

Dana Van Aken currently serves as the Head of Research at Altimate AI since February 2025. Previously, Dana was Co-Founder and CTO of OtterTune from May 2020 to November 2024. Academic experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2014 to February 2021 and internships with Microsoft Research and Google's Infrastructure Team. Dana holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, and a B.A. in Business Finance from Western Washington University.
