Nicholas Gomez

Nicholas Gomez serves as the Associate Director of Computational Genomics at Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences since January 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a Scientist at Allen Institute for Cell Science from February 2022 to January 2024, focusing on computational methods to dissect cellular states and transitions. A Postdoctoral Fellow at The Rockefeller University from January 2016 to February 2022, Nicholas researched chromatin dynamics in stem cells. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Biology with a focus on Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington. Early career experiences range from undergraduate research at the University of Washington to an internship at the National Institutes of Health.
