Stephan Dr. Engelke

Stephan Dr. Engelke has over 30 years of professional experience. In 1990, they began their career at BASF Coatings in various roles, including Project Manager, Key Account Manager, Project & Plant Manager, Customer Lane Leader BMW & DC, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager. In 2002, they were hired as President/CEO of ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer, where they led a manufacturing organization that generated nearly $60 million in annual sales. In 2007, they were recruited as Vice President Application Technology at Durr Systems, Inc. to restore profitability, restructure the organization’s management team, and change the organization to align with US market needs. In 2011, they were brought on board as Director Coatings for BASF Argentina S.A. to improve profitability, the manufacturing footprint for the region, and adapt the organization to the future needs in the region. In 2015, they joined JR Bechtle & Co. as Principal and Sr. Project Manager. In 2020, they became a Consultant at Engelke Co. and in 2022, they joined Altix Consulting as Partner Executive Recruiting, helping small and middle-market industrial companies compete globally.

Stephan Dr. Engelke obtained their PhD in Technical & Macromolecular Chemistry from the Technische Universität Braunschweig in 1989.
