Carla Mulas

Principal Scientist at Altos Labs

Carla Mulas is a Principal Scientist at Altos Labs since September 2022, with prior experience as a King's Prize Fellow at the Randall Centre for Cell and Molecular Biophysics at King's College London from October 2021 to September 2022. Mulas worked as a Research Associate at the Wellcome Trust - MRC Stem Cell Institute at the University of Cambridge from October 2010 to January 2022, under key researchers Kevin Chalut and Jennifer Nichols. Mulas completed a PhD in Embryonic Stem Cells at the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2014, following a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from Imperial College London obtained between 2007 and 2011. The doctoral project focused on the molecular characterization of the initiating events in embryonic stem cell lineage choice, supervised by Professor Austin Smith.
