James Crawford

James Crawford is currently the Head of Discovery Chemistry and DMPK at Altos Labs and serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Chemistry with a focus on Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Crawford has been an Advisory Board Member for RSC Medicinal Chemistry since August 1996, where significant research is published in medicinal chemistry. Additionally, Crawford holds the title of Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, having received the Capps Green Zomaya Memorial Award in 2018. Previous roles include distinguished scientist and project team leader at Genentech, senior research scientist at AstraZeneca, and a Fulbright Research Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute. Crawford earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde and a Master's degree in Pure and Applied Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame.
