Lance Hentges

Lance Hentges, DPhil, currently serves as a Computational Scientist in Multi-Omics at Altos Labs, leveraging AI foundation models to advance synthetic biology initiatives centered on restoring cell health. Previous experience includes postdoctoral research and bioinformatics analysis at the University of Oxford, where focus was placed on genetics, statistics, and machine learning in medicine. Early career roles involved engineering bacteriophage viruses at Imperial College London to target human cancer cells, tutoring STEM subjects across various platforms, and instructing courses in drug therapy and human health at Anthem Education Group. Hentges holds a PhD in Systems Biology from the University of Oxford, a Master's in Human Molecular Genetics from Imperial College London, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Philosophy from Hamline University.
