Maria Simbirsky

Maria Simbirsky is a Software Engineering Manager at Altos Labs since October 2022, where responsibilities include managing a team to develop data management solutions for lab informatics and integrating various data processing systems. Prior to this, Maria held roles such as Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Altos, focusing on building a "social network for science" and implementing a full stack application. Maria has extensive experience in software development and data science from positions at Inscripta, Inc. and DNAnexus, contributing to CRISPR software, RESTful APIs, and machine learning applications. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
