Mikael Svensson has a diverse work experience which includes roles in academia, industry, and competitions. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Process Development Engineer and Chemical Engineer at ALTRIS. In 2019, they were a Project Employee at Uppsala University, Department of Chemistry - Ångström, where they investigated the structural degradation of Prussian Blue-based sodium cathode materials. In 2020, they completed their Master thesis at Uppsala Universitet titled "Conducting redox polymers for battery applications". In 2016, they were a Study Coach at My Academy. In 2018, they were a Team Member at the SensUs Student Competition, where they conceptualized and created a biosensor with the goal of monitoring the drug adalimumab. In 2017, they were a Team Member at the iGEM Competition.
Mikael Svensson attended Uppsala University from 2015 to 2020, where they earned a Civilingenjörexamen in Materialvetenskap, as well as a Teknologie kandidatexamen (tekn.kand.) in Material sciences from 2015 to 2018.
