Sean Bohen, MD, PhD has held numerous roles in the medical field over the past two decades. In 2002, they became an Adjunct Clinical Instructor, Medicine (Oncology) at Stanford University School of Medicine. In 2003, they moved to Genentech where they held the position of Senior Vice President, Early Development, Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED). In 2015, they became Executive Vice President, Global Medicines Development, and Chief Medical Officer at AstraZeneca. In 2019, they were appointed Non Executive Director at AltruBio Inc. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed Non Executive Director at Gyroscope Therapeutics and President and Chief Executive Officer at Olema Oncology.

Sean Bohen, MD, PhD received their Bachelor of Science in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988. Sean then attended the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine, where they received their MD, PhD in Medicine and Biochemistry in 1997, and their Doctor of Medicine - MD in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the same school. Sean then attended Stanford University School of Medicine, where they completed a Medical Oncology program from 1999 to 2003.
