Sharad Sonapeer

Sharad Sonapeer is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience spanning over 16 years in various prestigious companies. Currently employed at Altruist since September 2024, Sharad focuses on improving independent financial advice accessibility and affordability. Prior to this, Sharad held software engineering positions at Fast Growing Trees and Oscar Health, and served as a Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 11 years, where responsibilities included developing enterprise-level client-server applications and leading significant projects during the BOFA-ML merger. Sharad began the career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, developing a Python-based middleware for scientific collaboration. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Florida, CFA Level III certification, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai.
