Ted Zhang

Ted Zhang has over five years of experience in product management and has worked with companies such as ServiceTitan, Xero, and Altruist. Ted Zhang is currently a Principal Product Manager at Altruist.

Ted Zhang began their career as a Product Manager at Xero in September 2015 and served in that role for two years before moving to ServiceTitan in November 2016. At Xero, Ted was responsible for developing education material to train sales, marketing, and customer support teams on new product releases. Ted also partnered with software add-on partners and the Xero API team on integration strategies.

At ServiceTitan, Ted served as the product owner for the US Xero conversion utility (QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Sage). Ted collaborated with 3rd party developers to build the Sage to Xero conversion utility and improved monthly QuickBooks conversion output by 8% by analyzing the funnel and developing new features to address customer drop-off issues. In addition, Ted partnered with Google to develop the Xero Google Sheets Financial Statement Template. Ted built mockups to guide Google engineers and designers, conducted usability testing through usertesting.com and in person tests, and determined go to market strategy with product marketing and business development teams.

Ted’s experience with product management has given him a strong foundation in all aspects of product development, from ideation to launch. Ted's ability to work cross-functionally and their dedication to their users make him an asset to any team.

Ted Zhang has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Certificate in Product Management and Front-End Web Development from General Assembly. Ted also has certification from the Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Product Owner and from the California Board of Accountancy in Certified Public Accountant.
