John Schroer

John Schroer, CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance industry. John is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Alumis since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of CFO at ArsenalBio from February 2021 to February 2022.

Before their role at ArsenalBio, John served as the CFO at Translate Bio from May 2018 to December 2020. John also worked with Allianz Global Investors as the Director and Sector Head for Healthcare from January 2014 to May 2018.

John has entrepreneurial experience as well, having founded Schroer Capital, LP where they served as the Founder and Portfolio Manager from January 2009 to December 2013. Before that, they worked as an Analyst at HealthCor Management, LP from November 2005 to July 2008.

In addition to their other roles, John also founded ITROS Capital Management, LLC, where they served as the Founder and Portfolio Manager from January 2001 to 2005. Prior to this, they worked as a Portfolio Manager and Director of Research at INVESCO Funds Group from 1993 to 2001 and as an Analyst at Trust Company of the West from 1990 to 1993.

John Schroer, CFA received their MBA in Finance from the Wisconsin School of Business in 1990. Prior to that, they obtained their BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1983 and 1987.
