Sahra Iqbal

Sahra Iqbal has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and strategy within the pharmaceutical industry. Sahra currently holds the role of Head of Regulatory Strategy at Alvotech since September 2023. Prior to this, they served as Director, Global Regulatory Lead at Alvotech from April 2021 to September 2023. Before joining Alvotech, Sahra worked as an Associate Director at Takeda Oncology from October 2017 to December 2021. Sahra also held positions at Amgen as a Senior Manager from March 2014 to August 2017, at Celgene as EMEA Regulatory Affairs, Oncology from December 2012 to February 2014, at ICON plc as a Senior Regulatory Manager from September 2011 to December 2012, at Bayer as a Regulatory Consultant from April 2011 to August 2011, at Amgen as European Regulatory Affairs (Oncology) from August 2010 to March 2011, at Pfizer as a Regulatory Manager from June 2009 to August 2010, at Abbott as a European Regulatory Manager from January 2006 to April 2007, and at Abbott as a European Veterinary Regulatory & Technical Services Manager from an unknown start date to 2005. Sahra has a strong background in regulatory strategy, including experience in orphan designation, pediatric investigation plans (PIPs), and conditional marketing authorization applications. Sahra has also worked across a variety of therapeutic areas, including oncology, infectious diseases, metabolic, women's health, and veterinary.

Sahra Iqbal completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Surrey from 1989 to 1993. Sahra then pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Management at The University of Sheffield from 1993 to 1994.
