Geoff Orry

Geoff was born in 1942 in Kent, He spent his working life as an engineer working in different areas including in the aviation and computer industries taking on various management roles during this time. He also worked as a development engineer in the USA and as a design engineer in Japan. After early retirement he spent 17 years working at the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injury Unit in Glasgow, helping paralysed patients use computers. In 2017, Geoff was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia and soon after he joined the Scottish Dementia Working Group (SDWG). The SDWG has made a difference to his approach to dementia as well as giving him a positive outlook on life.
